Orthonyxia, NiTi Toenail Bracing Course Requirements.
NiTi Ingrown toenail course is designed for trained professionals in health care industry who would like to offer professional ingrown toenail treatment using NiTi wire within the working environment. In order to enrol in the course the professionals must obtain minimum Level 3 RQF Diploma in Foot Health or equivalent or above. The Course is suitable for FHP, Chiropodists and Podiatrists. All certification will be checked prior enrolling in the course and course attendance confirmation.
You will learn the correct application of NiTi brace to help with ingrown toenail condition.
The course also includes in depth knowledge of nail unit and nail conditions. different nail and skin conditions and diseases, contra indications and contra actions, legal responsibilities as well as correct application and client recommendations.
This course includes theoretical and practical parts.
Prior attending the course you will be required to do some home revision and complete a course research study which will need to be completed 1 week prior attending the live training at the classroom.
At the end of the course you will be required to fill in course feedback and self-evaluation form which will be provided by your tutor. The training is taking place at the classroom. Students won’t require any models as students will be working on each other practicing the brace application and removal.
You will be provided with a course manual and other resources that will help you in completing the training successfully.
In order to deliver the service and complete the practical part you will be required to purchase a student kit which has all the necessary products you may need to deliver the service. All the products are professional sizes which will last for over 50 treatments. The kit will be available to purchase at the training centre on the day or can be purchased in advanced. The price of the kit is £180.
The structure of the classroom training is as follow:
Theoretical part will take place from 9.30am till 12pm with a demo of the brace application and practical part will take place from 1pm till 5pm.
Please attend the course wearing professional dress code, white or blue top/ tunic and black/ blue trousers. No jeans or sportswear. You will be provided with plastic apron and disposable gloves as part of the PPE for the training.
Y will be required to purchase a kit in order to practice in the classroom. You can purchase the kit in our online shop or at the academy on the day. The price of the kit is £180. The kit will contain everything you may need to apply the NiTi toe nail brace successfully and will last over 100 applications.
After completion of the course, you will receive a CPDSO certificate with CPD logo meaning that the course is approved and certified within health care industry. It will also demonstrate your CPD hours you would have gained after attending the training which will demonstrate your professional competence to deliver the service within your working environment.
